Marketing and PR for the Evolving Information Service

What can we learn from organisations such as Starbucks, Skoda or Swarovski?  Some lessons in marketing, branding and developing products can be successfully applied to the library and information function, and with a bit of lateral thinking we can use similar practices in our evolving services.  I will be holding a training course on marketing at Aslib in July 2012 using a step-by-step approach to marketing and examples from inside and outside the information sector.
